Wache near Dolní Světlá

This picture postcard shows the landscape on the state border between the hill Luž and the Hvozd hill with its look-out tower in the background. In the centre the group of houses at the border crossing Wache between Dolní Světlá and Waltersdorf in Germany is seen.
This picture postcard shows the border crossing at the „Wache“ over Dolní Světlá as seen from the slope of the Luž hill. On the right side there are the buildings of the at present already demolished hotel „Zur deutschen Wacht“ standing on the Bohemian side of the border, and on the left there is the still standing German hotel „Rübezahl“. In the background there is the Sonnenberg hill (in Germany).
On this picture postcard we see the former restaurant „Zur Deutschen Wacht“, standing formerly on the Bohemian side of the border in the saddle between Dolní Světlá and Waltersdorf (Germany). After World War Two the house was demolished and now there remaine only small rests of the foundation walls.
