Velenice

On this picture postcard from 1900 there is a total view of Velenice with the St. Trinity church. The prominent hills in the background are the Ortel in the northwest from the village and the Klíč behind it.
This picture postcard from the years before World War One shows the central part of Velenice village with the church St. Trinity and the one-storeyed schoolhouse of 1902 which at present serves as the village mayor's office.
On this picture postcard from the beginning of the 20th century we see the old magistrate house with the inn „Zur Sonne“ (in German = Sun) the owner of which till 1945 had been Wilhelm Schwarzbach.
This picture postcard shows the former old magistrate house of Velenice, which after 1945 was demolished.
This picture postcard remembers the festive blessing of the bell of the church of St. Trinity in 1920.

On this picture postcard we see the church of St Trinity at Velenice which on July 25, 1935 did commemorate the two hundred years' anniversary of its consecration.
On this postcard from 1924 you see the central part of the village with several traditional timbered houses. The house with the mansard roof in the foreground formerly was the presbytery and behind of it there is the former village mayor's office, in which later was the inn „Zur Sonne“ (The Sun).
On the lower picture you see Ernst Hedl's beautiful in in the southern part of the village and above it on the slope of the Velenický kopec stood the smaller inn „Zur Buche“. At present no one of these buildings does exist.
