This litography from the turn of the 19th and 20th century shows the view of Varnsdorf from the slopes of the Šibeniční vrch-hill above the railway station. On this picture postcard from the end of the 19th century in the upper part there is the former monument of Emperor Joseph II in the Poštovní ulice-street, the Old Catholic Transformation church and the gymnasium. Below it on the right there is the former Emperor Franz Joseph I.-school at the town square and on the lower left we see the old power station.

On this picture postcard from the beginning of the 20th century we see the eastern part of the town from the Šibeniční vrch-hill above the railway station. From the housing protrudes the Old Catholic Transformation church and in the left background rises the Hrádek-hill with its excursion restaurant.

This picture postcard from 1907 shows the northeastern part of the town as seen from the tower of the Old Catholic church. In the foreground there is the Poštovní ulice-street with the building of the post-office the reverse side of which is decorated by a great dome on the roof. In the background to the left there is the Hrádek-hill with the excursion-restaurant and its lookout-tower.

This picture postcard from the second half of the twenties of the 20th century shows the centre of the town with the church of St. Peter and Paul. At the marketplace on the right side of the church is the presbytery and the outstanding building of the school, in the foreground to the left there is the building of the former St. Mary's hospital.

This picture postcard from the years after the war shows the northwestern part of the town square with the great building of the old magistrate's office in which before World War Two the hotel „Börse“ (in German=exchange) was situated. Unfortunately in August 1977 this remarkable house had been demolished.

This picture postcard from the beginning of the 20th century shows the monumental houses along of the main street (Národní ulice-street). In the foreground there is the house No. 512 built in 1798. In the 90s of the 20th century this house had been renovated and since then it is protected as a historic monument and serves the primary art school. On the right side of the end of the street we see the house No. 506 the original seat of the textile company Hanisch in which since 1930 was the municipal public library. After World War Two the house went to wreck and in 1977 it was demolished.
