This lithography from the end of the 19th Century shows an overall view of the village Krompach as seen from the foot of Hvozd hill with the church of the Fourteen Saint Assistants and the former schoolhouse. The village Valy is represented only by the lower smaller picture showing the now already not existing inn „Zur deutschen Eiche“ (German Oak).

This picture postcard from the years before World War One shows the upper part of the village Valy with the former inn „Am Kammweg“ (=Ridgeway) in the foreground. The horizon is filled with the hill Hvozd with its two peaks with the lookout tower and the German chalet.

This picture postcard sent in 1915 shows a detail of the inn „Zur goldenen Krone“ (Golden Crown) which also can be recognised in the main picture by its dormer-windows. Behind it there is the former inn „Zur deutschen Eiche“ (German Oak). Both inns and several of the other houses had been taken down after 1945. The horizon is closed by the hills (from left to right) Zelený vrch, Kulich and Klíč.

This picture postcard shows the former inn „Zur deutschen Eiche“ (German Oak) which stood in the upper part of the village at the road to Jonsdorf. In the second half of the 20th century it was abandoned and at present there are only its foundation walls overgrown by brushwood.

This inn „Zur deutschen Eiche“ (German Oak) together with the neighbouring inn „Zur goldenen Krone“ (Golden Crown) Two served for some time after World War as convalescent home for Prague children. Later both houses had been demolished.

The building of this inn „Zur goldenen Krone“ (Golden Crown) together with the neighbouring inn „Zur deutschen Eiche“ (German Oak) stood in the upper part of the village at the road to Jonsdorf. Today on this place only brushwood is growing.

This picture postcard shows the former inn „Edelstein“ (Jewel) standing near the border to Germany at the road to Jonsdorf. On the hill behind the house there are remains of mounds after which the vilage was named.

The house shown on this picture postcard to the present days is standing at the road to Jonsdorf (in Germany). It originated in about 1820 and between the World Wars One and Two served as boarding house named „Landhaus Elsa“.

This pictuire postcard shows the Visitation chapel which stood at the northeastern end of the village and after 1945 had been demolished. At present you also will not find the two neighbouring houses which, in the time the photo was taken, belonged to the families Kindermann and Stengel.
