Svitava

On this picture postcard from 1901 on the right there is an overall look of the village and on the left the former restaurant of Franz Werner.
On this picture postcard from about 1900 we see above the whole village as viewed from the Southwest, and on the pictures below there is the former Werner's inn No. 30 (left) and Kutzer's bakery No. 36 (right).
This picture postcard of Svitava from the years of World War Two shows on the pictures above the central part of the village with the new chapel of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and the Ortel hill with the school in the foreground. In the lower part there are the houses at the road to Lindava with the former blacksmithery No. 32 (on both these pictures to the left).

This picture postcard without a date shows the older chapel of the Assumption of Virgin Mary from 1725. This chapel stood originally on the road crossing in the lower part of the village and had been demolished in 1923.
