This picture postcard shows the former mechanical threadmaking factory founded in 1867 by Vinzenz Hieke on the lower end of the village. Later there was a sawmill and after World War Two a holiday centre. In the 80s the house was rather heartlessly reconstructed and since the 90s it serves as a boarding house.
