Studený

On this picture postcard taken from the peak of the „Studenec“ hill we see in the foreground a part of the village Studený. The centre of the picture is crossed by the woody valley of Pavlínino údolí in which the village Rynartice is located.

This picture postcard shows the former mechanical threadmaking factory founded in 1867 by Vinzenz Hieke on the lower end of the village. Later there was a sawmill and after World War Two a holiday centre. In the 80s the house was rather heartlessly reconstructed and since the 90s it serves as a boarding house.
