Na Šestce

This picture postcard from 1942 shows the former gamekeeper's lodge No. 6 which stood in the middle of the woods between the Hvozd-hill and the Sokol-hill.
On this picture postcard from 1910 there is the gamekeeper´s lodge No. 6 in to the woods owned by the „Council of the town Zittau“. Already as early as the end of the 19. century it had been a very popular aim of the sunday walks among the inhabitants of Cvikov.
This picture postcard shows the former gamekeeper's lodge No. 6 below the Hvozd-hill with the new extension (right). After World War Two the restaurant was demolished, the old horse chestnut trees which formerly shaded its terrace, however, are growing here to the present days.
On this winterly picture postcard the former gamekeeper´s lodge No. 6 is shown in the foreground and behind of it the newer villa built some time in the years between both World Wars. Whilst the gamekeeper's lodge after World War Two was demolished, the villa was utilised by the so-called people´s militia and at present serves to the purpose of the boy-scouts from Liberec.
