This picture postcard shows Petrovice with the church of the Holy Trinity as seen from the slopes of the Petrovický vrch-hill. In the centre there is the prominent church of St. Trinity, and on the extreme left the former schoolhouse. Along of the road in the foreground in present days ther is no one of the shown houses.

On this picture postcard from the years between the World Wars shows the southern part of Petrovice with its baroque bell tower (in the centre). Behind the village to the left there is the Sokol hill and behind it on the background the Hvozd-hill.

This picture postcard shows the village green of Petrovice at the beginning of the 20th century. The housing along of the road to Zittau (Germany) later was apparently changed but most markedly it had been affected by the demolitions during the years after World War Two.

When we compare this picture with the preceding one we see that in the course of the first three decades of the 20th century in the central part of the village a whole range of changes occurred. Several houses got a new second storey, others had been substituted by newly erected buildings.

On this picture postcard from the end of the 30s of the 20th century the formerly „Kretscham“ named restaurant „Herrenhaus“. This house which is standing till the present days, had been adapted by the family Mengemann who owned it almost the whole first half of the 20th century.

On this picture postcard we see the house of the customs point which during the years of the so-called First Republic (1918-1638) had the status of a secondary customs point of class II. In the background there is the church of St. Trinity.

This lithography shows the former restaurant „Zur Palme“ between approximately 1899 to 1905 when its owner was Heinrich Arlt. Some time this restaurant also had the name „Zum Hochwald“.

On this picture postcard from the end of the 30s of the 20th century the Trinity church with its distinctive timbered tower standing immmediately at the village road is shown. It was consecrated in 1816.
