Martinovo Údolí near Cvikov

This lithography of Martinovo Údolí from the end of the 19th century shows at its center the building of the former steam bath and the part of the village in its surroundings with an outlook to the south. On the left picture you see the former Schindler's restaurant and on the right one rock of the „Brandsattelfelsen“ standing on the Kamenný vrch in the north of the village.
This picture postcard shows Martinovo Údolí under the wooded Bartel hill as seen in the direction from Cvikov. In the background there are the two stacks of the former Grohmann's bleaching plant.
On this picture postcard from the beginning of the 20th century we see the central part of the village with the area of the former Grohmann´s bleaching plant. Some of its buildings are standing till now.
This picture postcard from 1913 shows a view of the central part of Martinovo Údolí as seen from the peak of Bartlův vrch hill. In the centre there is the area of the former Grohmann's bleaching plant and quite to the left the two-storeyed house of Schindler's inn.
On this picture postcard there is Schindler's garden restaurant which was a frequent aim of the sunday walks of the inhabitants of Cvikov. The house, which stands till to-day, is now part of a plant producing greenhouses.

This picture postcard shows the so-called Russian steam bath founded by Leopold Martin in 1834 at the background of the wooded Bartelův vrch-hill.
The building of the original steam bath fouded by Leopold Martin had been in the first half of the 20th of the 20th century thoroughly modernized to the shown shape which up to the present days remained practically unchanged.
This picture postcard shows the new building of the sanatorium built 1932 by the Joint Health Insurances of Rumburk and Česká Kamenice. After World War Two it serves as pulmonary sanatorium.
