This picture postcard from 1925 shows the town with the Markvartický pond taken from the south. In the background we see the attractively built Palme´s farmyard, on the horizon there ist the elongated Hvozd and the knoll of the Sokol hill.

On this picture postcard we see the southwestern part of Markvartice with the building of a factory which is used up to to-day. In the background we see the Church of St Lawrence and St. Zdislava in Jablonné v Podještědí.

On this picture postcard from 1923 there is the so-called Palme's yard at Markvartice which after a long period of devastation had been very costly restored at the end of the 20th century.

The photo from 1938 shows the former bakery of Johann and Franziska Ackermann in the centre of the village. The house no longer stands, but the statue of the scourged Christ from 1730 is still preserved.

This picture postcard shows the entrance gate and the front of the so-called Palme's courtyard. The building on the left foreground no more exists, but the main building in the background is at present prettily renovated.
