This picture postcard from 1897 shows the Luž-hill from the German side of the border and the restaurant on its summit. The small picture on the upper right shows the outlook fromt the peak in the direction over Bohemia: on the left side the Ještěd hill, in front of it the elongated Hvozd (in German: Hochwald) with its lookout tower, in the centre three typical peaks - the nearest Jezevčí vrch, the Tlustec and the more distant Ralsko hills, on the right side of the horizon the twins of Velký Bezděz and Malý Bezděz. The verses recommend a visit to the restaurant on Epiphany 1898.

This picture postcard from 1906 presents a partial outlook from the summit to the Bohemian side: on the left the twin peaks of the Velký Bezděz and Malý Bezděz, in the left foreground the Zelený vrch hill near Cvikov, the Suchý vrch, Kobyla and Pěnkavčí vrch hills, behind them the group of four distinctive peaks (from the foreground backwards: the Bouřný, Velký Buk, Rousínovský vrch and the sharp Klíč hill.) On the lower cutouts is the Luž with Waltersdorf (in Germany) and the restaurant on its peak.
