Kyjov

On this lithography from 1901 the village Kyjov is shown with the restaurant „Bohemian Switzerland“ which after the fire in 1992 was demolished. The picture to the right shows the look-out from the Bratrské kameny-rock in the Kyjov valley.
This picture postcard from 1897 presents the restaurant named „Bohemian Switzerland“ which in those years belonged to Anton Schindler. Beside the restaurant the village Kyjov is shown and on the picture below you see the entrance of the romantic valley „Kyjovské údolí“.
On this picture postcard we see the central part of the village as seen from the south. The greatest building on the right side is the now already nonexistent hotel „Zur Böhmischen Schweiz“.

This picture postcard from 1901 shows the former Dix's mill standing at the entrance of the Kyjov-valley. The small brickwork house in the background is the only one of the mill buldings which survived to the present days.
