Juliovka

This picture postcard presents the village Juliovka on four pictures. On the upper left is the village with the distinctive Hvozd hill as seen from the west, on the right side we see the central part of the village with the former Knobloch's restaurant which also is shown in the lower left picture. The last picture shows the former restaurant which on 19 september 1779 visited emperor Joseph II on his inspection tour.
On this picture postcard the village Juliovka as seen from the southeast is shown. The building of the weawing mill in 1944 had been destroyed by flames and at present there remain only small rests of the foundations hidden under shrubs at the former playground. In the background the group of houses on the cross-road is shown, from which the former Knobloch's restaurant with a great dance hall is apparent. On the horizon on the right side there is the Luž-hill.
This picture postcard shows the former Knobloch´s restaurant with its great dance hall which after World War Two was partially reconstructed and was used as cinema and police station. At present it is a private property and its frontage is decorated by a plastic made by Josef Fojtík in the 70ies of the 20th century.
On this picture postcard we see Ignaz Knobloch's restaurant with cinema and grocery with its newer exterior.
This picture postcard shows the former restaurant „Zur Schweiz“ (Switzerland) at the road crossing in the village Juliovka.
On this picture postcard the former restaurant „Zur Schweiz“ with its butcher's shop is shown. This house till now stands at the branch road leading to Krompach.
This picture postcard shows the at present already abandoned bathing pool in Juliovka. The house in the background to this very days is standing at the road to Krompach.

This fotograf from the turn of the 19th and 20th century shows the construction of the building in which later there was the Czech school.
