Horní Prysk

In the foreground there is the monumenal building of the former school and behind it the rock „Kalich“ (goblet) with a niche where in former times ther was a picture of the Coronation of the Mother of God.
This picture postcard shows a picturesque peaceful spot with wooden houses along of the street to Prácheň. Most of these houses, however, disappeared, only the two small houses in the background survived.
On this picture postcard there is the former locksmith's shop of August Wenzel not far from the sporting place in the lower part of the village. The appearance of this house remained almost unchanged till now.

On this picture postcard we see the former railway stop of Horní Prysk where in the very moment stopped the train going to Česká Lípa. The small house of the stop now serves as a holiday home.
This curious picture postcard reminds the murder of Eduard Vater on 3 June, 1903. Below is the house in which the murder was committed, in the upper part to the left we see the murderer, Josef Richter with his family, and to the right the gendarme Wenzel Patzelt, who arrested the murderer the day after the crime.
