On this picture postcard from 1905 there is the village Hain as seen from the Janské kameny - Johannisstein. On the left side ist the centre of the village, on the right both the former restaurants „Kaiser Wilhelm's-Höhe“ and „Franz Josef's-Höhe“ separated only by the border-line. In the background rises the wooded massif of the Hvozd - Hochwald and in the cutout on the bottom the promenade leading to the lookout tower on its northern peak is shown.

On this picture postcard from about 1908 we see the northern part of the village from the southeast. In the background to the left is the Ameisenberg-hill, to the right the extended ridge of the Töpfer. From the valley between both rises the rock tower with the ruins of the castle and the monastery Oybin.

This picture postcard from the second half of the 20th century shows the former scool recreation centre in the middle of the village. The horizon is filled by the extended Töpfer ridge with the Scharfenstein-promontory on its right end.

On this picture postcard we see the inn in the saddle above the village some-time about 1930 as its name already had been changed to „Grenzbaude“ (in German: = border chalet). The roof behind it belongs to the inn „Franz Josef's-Höhe“ standing already on the Bohemian side of the border.

This picture postcard shows the three restaurants built near of one attractive point of the borderline over the village Hain. In the foreground to the right there is the German „Grenzbaude“, on the left behind it in the immediate neighbourhood the Bohemian restaurant originally called „Kaiser Franz Josef's-Höhe“ and on the peak in the background stands the restaurant on the Janské kameny - Johannisstein. All the three objects are standing here to the present days.
