Dolní Sedlo
Dolní Sedlo
This lithography shows at the top the inn no. 65 the owner of which from 1893 to 1912 was Anna Plodek. To the right there is the already abandoned basalt quarry in the slope above the village, in the centre the outlook platform of the Popova skála rock and on the lower left the romantic rocks of the „Skalní divadlo“ (=rock theatre) at the foot of the Podkova hill.
A postcard from the collection of Mr. Tomáš Novák.
Dolní Sedlo
This lithography shows the inn called „Zur Schweiz“ (=Switzerland) in the house No. 54 which from 1891 to 1919 was owned by the couple Johann and Franziska Miletin. The picture on the right side shows the Popova skála-rock.
A postcard from the collection of Mr. Tomáš Novák.
Dolní Sedlo
This picture postcard shows the village Dolní Sedlo in approximately 1918. On the lower pictures you see the grocery of Karl Posselt and the two-storeyed schoolhouse built in 1882 on the place of an older timbered schoolhouse.
A postcard from the collection of Mr. Tomáš Novák.
Dolní Sedlo
On this picture postcard from 1920 you see the imposing building of the former inn „Zur Schweiz“ and three motifs from the rocks in the surroundings. Above there is the rocky Popova skála and the former Hugo Liebsch shelter below of its summit, and to the lower right the Skalní divadlo (rock theatre) at present, however, is totally overgrown by wood.
A postcard from the collection of Mr. Jiří Rosol.
Dolní Sedlo
On this picture postcard the former inn „Zur schönen Aussicht“ (Prety look-out) No. 65, since 1912 owned by Wenzel Kirch, is shown. The inn was in operation some years after World War Two, its appearance, however, had been adversely affected by a ruthless modernization.
A postcard from the collection of Mr. Tomáš Novák.
