Dolní Falknov

This picture postcard shows the houses of Lower Falknov dispersed over the slopes of the valley.
On this picture postcard of Dolní Falknov you see in the centre the former office of the village mayor with the „White lamb“ inn named also after its owner Zippe the „Zippehaus“.
This picture postcard shows the former village mayor's office of Dolní Falknov founded in 1668, the parental house of the famous geologist and mineralogist F. X. M. Zippe. Till after World War Two in the house there was the „Gold digger's inn“ but soon the house went to wreck and was demolished in 1963.
This picture postcard shows the buidings of the present Home for physically handicaped persons in the centre of the village. At present its brickwork is already covered by a warming-up cover with plastering.
