On this picture postcard from 1897 besides the overall view of the town we see the war memorial and the old post-office with the hotel „Stern“ (in German = star) at the western side of the market place. The pictures below show two other shots of the market place.

This picture postcard from 1912 shows the view of Chřibská from the west from the Pařez-hill. In the background rises the tower of the church of St. George, behind of it on the horizon there is the Malý Stožec-hill and to the right of it the elongated ridge of the Velká Tisová-hill.

On this picture postcard from 1899 you see the southwestern side of the market-place. The first three houses on the right side remained to now, the fourth (centre) was later demolished and the same fate sheared the great house to the left. On its place after 2000 a new building was constructed.

This picture postcard depicts the nortwestern part of the market place in 1913. Most of the houses are standing till today only the two old houses with the steep gables (centre) you will find no more.

On this picture postcard from the turn of the 19th and 20th century the northwestern corner of the market-place is shown with the building which as before also at present serve the municipality (left). The schoolhouse standing in the background survived to the present days although with a changed outlook.

This picture postcard from the first years of the 20th century shows the northern part of the market-place with the houses standing in front of the church of St. George and with the old stone bridge leading across the Chřibská Kamenice-brook with its original statues of the Immaculated Conception and St. John of Nepomuk carved by Franz Werner.

This picture postcard shows the houses on the eastern side of the market-place including the excellent pseudo-gothic former town-hall originating from 1872. To the right of is the parental home of Thaddaeus Haenke in which at present the local museum is installed.

The picture postcard from 1921 shows the brewery, built 1831 at the road to Rybniště. Later, in 1975, the abandoned buildings were taken down and to-day only the fishponds remained.
