This picture postcard from the end of the 19th century represents the idyllic valley of the Nisa-river near Chotyně. On the lower picture there are the buildings of the sanatorium and the restaurant „Zur Wartburg“ which Anton Habenicht built in 1890 at the local iron-bearing spring. After World War Two the building went to wreck and, finally, was demolished.

On this picture postcard from 1904 the area of J. B. Limburger's spinning mill in the valley of the Nisa-river is shown in the lower part there is the primary school built 1880 and on the upper left the house of the then local authority and the post-office.

This picture postcard from the 20s of the 20th century shows the lower part of the village which since 1859 is divided by the high railway embankment into two parts. Behind of the railway on the right side there is the former Gruschwitz's iron foudry and his plant producing food-processing machines called also „Hergetovka“, on the hill in the background you see the castle Grabštejn.

This picture postcard from years before World War One shows the lower part of Chotyně viewed from the north. Behind the village there is the former of J. B. Limburger's cotton spinning mill and on the horizon the Jítravské sedlo-saddle with the peak of Vysoká-hill in the centre.
